I for one am really looking forward to seeing what people come up with. Got a bit bored of the normal "make it as cheap as possible" contest because you end up with flimsy tweak heavy designs. That and I can't even begin to compete with the skills of just about everyone else entering them. That's the same reason I'm unlikely to enter this comp too (though you never know).

By the way:The date in the topic title is wrong, unless I've woken up and it's October already (the speed that time seems to go at these days makes this a distinct possibilty)

Thanks for mentioning this. I have fixed it and put a comment in the original post...

And please do enter the competition. The more the merrier!

I think even more than the offbeat submissions to the A/B contests this one is for fun. I think what I am submitting for this contest is definitely average compared to all the links in the beginning of this thread, but so what? It was interesting :) .

Hmpf. Why so late? 21.00 is 23.00 in Norway. Well its closing in, anyway.

Yeah, it's the same in Sweden. It was a mistake, I meant it to end 21.00 in Sweden, but well, I'm a little stupid I guess :)

So, sorry about that, I guess I can't change it now :)

As soon as the competition ends I will start a poll with three days duration where eveyone can vote.

Or should it be a closed vote?

OK. Im a bit stupid myself these days due to a bit fever and a cold. What do you mean by a closed vote, and can we vote on our own solutions? Those and other irritating questions that I have not come up with yet - what about them? (cough, cough)

What do you mean by a closed vote?

If I put up a poll, everyone will see what the current standing is. With closed vote I mean for example that votes are sent by PM so nobody can see what the standing is except me.

Can we vote on our own solutions?

Yes, since I can not stop that in a poll. And if every designer votes for his/her own level, it doesn't matter in the end. And if someone chooses not to vote for his/her own creation, I guess it means he/she thinks some other level should win!

Those and other irritating questions that I have not come up with yet - what about them?

My answer is: yes and no.

Ryo_Sangnoir wrote:Just posting some more examples - there aren't many levels involving triggers:

Recycling (Pretty crazy, this one...)
Force Clockwork (I think this one started off the whole "mechanisms in levels", it was pretty much certainly the first display of the force.)
elevate (See also the topic).

There aren't many mechanism-levels at all. Looking forward to the results of this one!

<3 YOU!! hooray! for elevate! (WAS THE FIRST LEVEL I EVER MADE)
I tried expanding it but sadly my laptop isnt powerfull enough (its old)
