ARFC B #17 Ludo (Ends December 10, 23:00 GMT)

Contest number 17, has arrived!

Same old rules apply.

I figured I'd make another classic game, this time with an interesting twist. I think it requires quite sturdy designs, but that's up to you guys, I hope you like it! :D

Naming convention is:
[YourForumName]-[DollarsUsed]-[SolutionName]
Example: Hyperkubus-123456-Roflmao

The task is simple: win the game! This is done by getting 3 balls behind the portal (in the direction of the middle), and one inside it.
Like so:

The 3 armadillos behind the portal should not be (partially) inside the portal anymore.)

I do not undestand... I should place ANY ball in portal? Easy, less then 100 points to win.
Or should all balls be placed in portal???? If so - please add this as additional rule!

that'd be rather difficult to accomplish since the simulation stops when one of the 'dillos teleports.
so only option is to get them to the portal at the same time

Oh.. damn.. I thought the game itself required all balls to be in the portals... hmmm...

I've changed the place of the portals, and the rules. Now, your task is to get 3 balls behind the portal, and one inside it. This also doesn't have Unw's problem. I'm sorry for the confusion, it's a shame armadillo isn't made to support multiple armadillos.

Please redownload the level, and another sorry!

you can do it if you make enough portals for all the balls and just overlap the portals so it looks like one

No, because you'll still have the problem that once one ball gets into the portal, the game ends... The player could make a temporary container, but it's not really pretty IMHO..

are you going to make a new lvl maybe with just one ball and just put this one down to experience

Let this serve as a lesson to future contest hosts - you should play test your levels :lol:

I can't wait to give this one a try though!!! Ludo is cool, and I have a cool idea for a new contest so I want to win!

I mentioned earlier that I changed the portal position a bit (it's now to the left, not in the middle), and that I changed the rules. I'd say it's playable, so there's no need to change it.

The difference in the rules is (as mentioned in the first post): you need to get 3 armadillos behind the portla (so in the general direction of the middle), and one in the portal to properly finish the level.
Armadillos flying behind at the exact moment you finish the level... well, we'll deal with that controversy when we get there, if we get there. (I won't be too strict)

Right, I misread my calendar, coming sunday is december 10. That's when I was going to end it. Just so you know, sorry for the change. Quirks of a first time competition hoster, I guess.

so basicaslly we have to finnish with all the dillos in the protal evan tho the game will end when the first one goes in , its all about timeing
