You should try the "undo trick."
In my experience, there's two different "levels" of the bug that exist.
(1) The first level is solved by simply adding a random object (metal bar, cloth piece, etc) to anywhere in the level, hitting play, then stop, then undo, then play again. Afterwards, the solution should work.
(2) The second level of the bug requires you to attach the random object to an actual part of the solution. So, do the same as above exept attach the superfluous piece to the thrower or catcher, play, stop, undo, and play again. The solution will work.
I still don't understand what determines the difference between the two levels, but if you follow the steps in (2), you should be able to get anything to work again.
And yeah, I forgot that although this is Orjan's level, he didn't win the last competition. So in my opinion, I think it's cool if he competes. The only advantage designing a level will give you is that of of time, so as long as the designer didn't spend hours testing it before submission, no harm done. Plus I don't think Orjan needs to cheat like that, since he's perfectly capable of coming up with the winning solution a couple hours afer the level is posted (as evidenced by the solutions he sends me right after I post my levels).
So, I guess we should see a show of hands. Is anyone against him competing?
Oh, and I've cracked the -800 barrier.
Don't cross the crooked step.
