Welcome to the tenth running of the B league competition. There are no extra rules, no restrictions, no nuthin'. Just get to the goal, and stay there.

My first level ever, ever so little inspired by traveler and cavernofkafka. Be kind :-)

Ranting and bragging is welcomed as always.

Hmm I must be off to a bad start because I haven't even managed that yet, and that's after some tweaking!

Well, I've got a bit more time on my hands lately, so hopefully I'll be able to submit a few solutions again...this is a cool level.

But, question that I'm sure has been answered before, though I don't see it in the rules.

Is clipping considered dark and evil? I would imagine it is, but since welding isn't, I'm not entirely sure.

Not quite sure, but I have the opinion that if material breakes as a result of energy genereated by overlapping materials/overlapping endpoints - it is considered as dark. Normal destruction as generated by colision or overweight etc is light. If a construction colaps and a litle force is "accedentally generated somwhere in the chaos - it is also light. Am I right?

I beg to differ. I'm of the opinion that any overlap (excluding welding) should be considered dark, whether it results in destruction or not. Reason being is that it generates a force, and if that force affects the solution outcome it should be relegated to the dark side. Otherwise, classic force paddles or the UFO I constructed (see the More Hoverball thread) a couple of days back would be consdered light, and there can be no doubt that that is a dark solution. There was a case in a previous contest where there was some overlap and it passed as light, but that is because the force generated had no impact on the final solution and it was "accidental".

I guess it depends on what darkcatalyst meant be "clipping". If he simply meant to smash two objects together to cause destruction, that's light (not to mention fun). If he meant building overlapping nodes to cause destruction, then that seems to me to be dark.

You say that any force generated by overlapping affecting the soulution to work is dark. I totally agree with you on that 8) . My post was just aiming to deal with the destruction theme in the post I was answering to. There is more stuff that is known as force. when it comes to the new invntioned UFO - I definately expect that will be considered as dark in the future - as it is clearly not intended as part of the physics in the game or has any relations to any natural laws in the real world.
