That's because it's not clear what qualifies as light. I can replace the thingie that pushes the dillo in the hole by a light version but how about the thing that gets the dillo back up to the portal? It's clearly less dark but it does use the same bug: long bar pushing shorter bar creating force.

 I sent in 3 Light solutions, the second and third use some Dark force to raise the Dillo into the portal but it was only the third one that was classed as Dark. I have no idea where to draw the line so I have not bothered to do any more solutions. The levers I used in solutions 2 & 3 work on exactly the same principal as the mi2 launcher which is allowed in Light solutions :? :? :? :? :) My first solution did not use the Dark force bug but that was too expensive.

This can never happen again if we change over to AR2 :D

one thing i have to admit rob´s solution is more light then yours mark but its still dark. tonight all can see what i mean and how ridiculous it is to call solutions like this as light  . you have to force your self to build something light but it seems your not able to do so your strongest wish is to swish over to ar2 because this would force you to thing new ways.

still for this contest my ultralight solution is better than the dark solution from votart :D

I think everybody agrees that these kind of launchers/levers are very dark. The problem is they completely obey the rules we defined so until new rules are defined (or we switch to ar2) every solution that follows those rules should be classed as light even though they produce a lot of dark force.
The only exception where I agreed to ban certain structures was the loops contest. Not because it didn't obey the rules but because it killed that particular contest.
In this contest you claim to have an ultraultralight solution that is cheaper than our darkultralight solutions so I don't see a reason to ban them from this contest.

I know it's dark, always have been and always will be but the recent contests have for a large part been won by dark solutions. Take for example your win in the previous contest (warehouse). Your structure to destroy the large column abuses the same bug: long bar pushing short bar creating force. It's not as obvious as some structures but it's there.
If we are to leave the rules alone that's fine by me, I like finding loopholes and abuse them.
If we are to redefine the rules or change to ar2 that's fine too, I will no doubt try to find new loopholes.
I just don't think it right to change the rules halfway through the contest.

Oh well, show us the results. Can't wait to see your ultra cheap ultra light solution :D
