Welcome to the 131st B contest: sp33d

This time i decided to mess up the rules:
- the money doesn't play a role
- the fastest solution will win

Submissions by PM

Naming convention is:
[DollarsRemaining]-[YourForumName]-[SolutionName]

Example:
2999-Me-Mine

GMT Time link: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Let the speed be with you!

Nice. Is there a built in timer or do we have to time it by hand?

Just touching 19+L, I'm thinking there has to be an easier and faster way to do this but with no tension may be not, keen to hear what other people are on :)

C'mon dudes, there are so many other possibilities than tension, especially now when the budget is unlimited...
I think 15- (or even 10-) should not be any problem.

I had a rethink and redesign and got down to 14.27L, may be able to trim that a touch but try and accelerate anything much faster and it all falls to bits :( As a newbie though I am probably missing the knowledge of some better system. I am keen to see how other people are doing with this one in order to guage my own score. I am totally stuck on the A contest which is meant to be easier, isn't it :?: I can do it but not even close to the price already bid.

You can't mean light, Mike.
Heck, it takes 5 sec. just for the dillo to clear the portal.
If you can break 10 sec. light, you will be my new idol. :D

:?: Shoudn't the naming convention start with the time and not the dollars as this is a time contest. If so I can't seem to type a decimal point when entering a name for the level, will a dash be OK. Example 18-54-markmadras-flippit.

Sorry for that obvious mistake. I suggest the following naming convention:

time-username-solname, example if you have 18.54 than: 1854-markmadras-flippit

I'm not so sure...
The unique power you can exploit is gravity..
Consider that gravity acceleration in this game is more or less 4 [ lenght of a plate/second^2].
If you manage to convert all the acceleration of a falling object into an acceleration of the dillo (whitout losses) you can cover the space of this level (50 plates) in exactly 5 seconds.... Plus 5 seconds to wait in the portal = Just get near to 10 would be crazy I think..

I agree, the theory sounds good but friction and the breaking strain of various components mess it up in practice. The trick is, I think, to get the balance just right, minimum effort to get maximum effect. I'm spending hours trying to get it right :? Could do with a good lubricant on the tool bar  Just can't seem to achieve maximum acceleration without something breaking. I too will be amazed if anyone comes close to 10 seconds. Oh if only the Dillo could have wings

Yes, this sounds very convincing, but still... this is just a game and who knows, maybe there is some black hole in the engine
