I'm posting this one to get the B league rolling again.

I hope nobody minds me posting out of turn. Obviously I can remove it if there are any objections but I think it's an interesting level with plenty of variety to the solutions.

Posting scores is FORBIDDEN!

Discussing your solution is NOT forbidden, if you feel so inclined.

Yes it is. I spent some time on this one preparing it. But...

"B" league
The more complex contest running once a week. Recommended for advanced players.

The goal started quite a lot lower and I kept tweaking the solution higher and further away. Maybe that's a tip for solving it.

Getting it over there at all is quite hard so I wouldn't worry about the cost to start with. It's not like I invented some super cheap way to do it. But maybe you guys will

Meh... POC isn't that hard. Definitely took less than half an hour.
EDIT: Another half an hour of tweaking cut like 200 off the cost.. still pretty expensive.

ProofOfConcept in 10 minutes, but good tweaking will cost 2-3 hours, i think i'll skip this competition.

That's why I threw it in here for 7 days. To keep people busy if they were looking for something to do. Maybe if you think the A competition is too easy this B competition gives a nice balance.

I think this level will be won by whoever has the most time on their hands. There are multiple ways to do it, all very different and all with similar end scores from what I have seen. Finding which one can be tweaked the best will take time.

I consider this one to be more like an engineering challenge than most competitions. It's like building a bridge. How can it be made very light but strong?

Only 3 people have solved this one so far and I'm not saying who is winning but it's a close one

Anyone else up for the challenge? Don't be scared off. It does cost quite a lot of money to solve, just like my current A league level.

Take some pride in just solving it and send in your solution, because they are all completely different so far.

Who cares who wins really? We are all here for the fun of it I hope.

Well, I like to win, but being cramped for time has a real negative effect on those abilities. I'm in! I'll make some (non-competitive) solutions. I liked all the different types of solutions there was in the early comps of A.MCoN.com (ahem, ARF.). I'll try to make some like that.

6 players have sent in solutions so far without counting ioncorpses solution.

As things stand I'm not sure if there is a dark medal available or not. I have one solution that is argueable between light and dark. It's a hard one to judge. I'm going to call it light but that might change after more experienced players judge it.

If it's dark, there are then 4 players within $14 of each other fighting for the light medal

Considering that each solution is very different it's quite fun how close it is. So maybe you would all like a last minute fight to tweak those light solutions because there is a good chance the questionable solution will be judged as dark.
