ARFC B #LXII Results

Postby ddavex » Fri Nov 09, 2007 12:57 pm

And the winner is...

Image Cresta with $4,604 remaining
Image DrRoy with $4,856 remaining (see attachment further down)

Well done Cresta, I wasn't sure it was possible but he opted for the tight squeeze that is the top exit to extract the rubber box. The lack of tensioned rubber and timers really helped make it the cheapest solution.

Wolterw's dark solution, very clever, and very aptly named!

Hahahahaha, how insane are these solutions?

Wolter, omg, I thought mine was boring to tweak at 2 minutes to complete. Great work though. Congrats.

Cresta, I'll have to remember the way you made that bat on your light solution. Nice way of getting lots of power with a timed release. Good job too.

You gotta love DrDillo solution too.

And there I was thinking I stood a chance at both medals. Haha.

Do I get an award for the cleanest way of moving the rubber box? It can actually be done with a single piece of $14 cloth, but it didn't have quite enough force to trigger my collapsing centre piece thingymabob.

Thanks for a fun diverse level ddavex

Now lets have some solutions to the A competition ending in 90 minutes. I have none so far.

OOooooh, very nice DrRoy. Why didn't we all think of something like that.

Sorry your solution got missed, or lost bouncing around the internet somewhere.

Oh, and I see in your screenshot a solution to the A league that you sent to me. Well, I'm afraid to say I don't have that either. So far I have no solutions for the A league.

DrRoy, PM me your solution. There seems to be a problem with your email providor.

Well done with your dark solution DrRoy but I still haven't received it in my inbox. That aside 11:31? Even if that's German time it's half-an-hour after the closing time for the competition.

10:00 GMT is 12:00 in Ukraine; Dr.Roy has sent his solution at 11:31, so he was in time. I think results should be updated.

In my opinion dark medal should be given to Dr.Roy who presented the best cost efficient solution. It is not his fault that in Ukraine e-mails are still being delivered using ponnies.

Very gentlemanly of you Wolterw, consider it changed. If there was a medal for the slowest solution it'd still have your name on it though!

On DrRoy's winning dark; watch the force paddle that flings the dillo in slow motion.... The bar exits the paddle, swings round and enters the paddle again!!
