ARF B Contest XXXV (From now till 29.04, 19:00 GMT)

Postby Cresta » Sun Apr 22, 2007 9:37 pm

Sorry, for a luka1222's distraction I'm not the winner of the last B contest, so this level is no more available, and the contest is retired...

Hope wolterw will upload the new level soon...

Yes, sorry for the wrong letter....

But the real problem is that wolterw won the last B contest, not me!
Not my fault, but now this level is up...
Don't know what to do...

Cresta, it's to my satisfaction transfering to you the right to place a new contest level. It is a very nice level indeed and I don't want to miss it.
Just change the letter to a B.

OK, I take my rights back and will place a new level right now. You are going to regret it because it is going to be a dirty and nasty one.

I just want to play with a new level, hosting a contest is not enjoing, is a boring responsability, that is lightened when you win a medal, but i didn't win anything at all....
This is the unfair nicky...

As for me, contest hosting is the only incentive to make winning solutions. It is great delight to see people enjoying your level. All these medals are rubbish, just a little pleasant addition. IMO

Nick's right... I really like contest hosting for many reasons... It's also a great practice in making good and enjoyable levels which is an integral part of AR just as solving the levels themselves...

I can't see how it doesn't make you feel good when people are saying "It's fun playing your level, don't make a new comp"...
"It's just a reflection of dark past, remains of a ruined, dead, cursed soul, and also another reason for you to hate me..."

You're right, it's pleasant when people like your level...
Unfortunatly I had not many hosting experiences, and one of them was a disaster (only 1 entry, dark.....)!
So, now I feel a little unsure, I fear playing my levels could not be funny...

But the last one was good I believe, so probably I made a mistake...
Sorry...
I hope I will learn something from this experience!

I love to make levels to comps and knowing that people will play it. The administration of it all is a bit boring, I agree.
