In the past, everyone who ties for high score is awarded a medal. The person who runs the next contest is decided between them, probably by coin flip.

All the same, I doubt there will be a tie. Someone almost always finds a $2 advantage. Even with unintentionally easy levels like this one...

Orjan makes a good point. Maybe we should use time as a secondary measure to break ties. Anyone opposed to this idea?

I fear I get beaten with $2 or so by naughty litle extraterrestrials in shameless ecstacy.

Just a litle off topic but breaking news: The dark UFO has been invented (by Mathias-san) and there are riots in the streets.
