Warning, The level has been updated. please download the new version

Welcome to contest A XII.

This contest is a race against time - the clock in the top left corner is counting down until different hazards are triggered. Your solution doesn't have to be fast, but a winning solution will (probably) make use of the time to its advantage.

Thanks to ?rjan for the inspiration for this level, and Thanks to joint A XI winner Toa, who let me host it (although we all know he just wants another chance to compete)!

Send your solutions to dudiobugtron@gmail.com with the usual naming convention:

Don't get scared by the apparent complexity of this level - it's definitely still A material.

That clock is awesome!!! There is something funny going on I feel though. It has happened two times now with two different solutions. I make a solution - save it - and when I reload it - it does not work. So is there ghosts inside my head or inside the lvl? :shock: I made a solution I could reload suxessfully too!

Can someone else let me know if they have this problem too? I had it with one of my test levels but I assumed it was just me being a nut.

I wonder what causes it? too many anchor points? Rubber in a line? Anchor points overlapping? Anchor points on the edge? Too many metal bars?

I'll work this out at home and post an updated version once I solve it, very sorry guys!

OK all fixed now - as far as I can tell!

Sorry I took so long but I had to test it to make sure it would work if I saved it again!

I posted about this very same problem a couple of competitions back, glad to see the "Elite" has to deal with it too ;)

My fix was: *Load the level, *edit ANY point, *run the level (it'd fail), *undo, *run again. And it worked like the charm it was supposed to.

On said level, I was tweaking a point in the smallest increments possible in AR.

btw.. this contest level: 2600 and rising.

Have had one saved solution fail to work on subsequent runs. That is with the new version of download. I was able to tweak to find a more stable result with same score so no biggie. Can post or mail more info on circumstances if required. Have kept the save in question if it helps.

/hmm, thanks for your input, and also thanks for offering to send me the info - I wish I knew what caused it!!

I can't change the level again now (too late), but if you could try fruityth1ng's suggestion (make an edit, run the level (still fails), undo the edit) and see if that fixes it, that would be awesome.

I got rid of everything that I could think of which could possibly have been causing it - overlapping anchorpoints, long rubber chains connected to other stuff, anchorpoints on the edge of the level, that crazy rocket lift thing. I also tested it quite a bit and never came accross the problem.

Is the problem dependent on the level? Or just on the solutions?
