Start the bidding at the paltry score of 4500.

Without wanting to start too much of a side discussion:

Who's turn is it next? If it's black, I don't think white has much chance.

Well here's the story for the chess players out there:

I was Black here and had just played ...Re7 as a last-ditch effort to win. White saw the most natural move and played Nd5??, forking both the e7 Rook and the b4 pawn. It continued ...Rea7! threatening checkmate, c3 trying to get some luft (Fritz has c4 as best), ...b3 hemming in the King, Kc1 avoiding checkmate, ...Ra1+ skewering the Black King and the h1 Rook. To add insult to injury, White loses a tempo because after Kd2 Rxh1, Black threatens another skewer along the second rank with ...Rh2+, attacking the b2 pawn through the King on d2.

Uh...after the White player made a mistake, Black won :).

I don't think 4500+ is all that paltry

hehe...

Clearly this would have been much too easy with rope.

Sooo...

I'll say 4550 before this level of scores is totally overtaken ;)

Let's push it to $4700+

I think $4800 might be possible for the pros.

4700$ + ? ok, im in! 8) But I cant get the background to work?! I cant even click and view it - if thats what suposed to be done :P
Btw, I think the most natural and winning move for white would be Rhd1. That would force black to either exchange rocks or let white get to his pawns, and he dont want non of that. :?

For the background, right click, save image as... rename it background_1977724.png , there's a _199 on the end for some reason.

*didn't even notice there was no rope, as the anchor points are too far away for rope to be cost-effective on a catcher. Also, it'd be a lot harder to get into place*

Nice .end - I like the look of the background.

However, I think this level will be pwned by the kings of the tweaks :P.

We shouldn't discuss specific techniques - but rope would make this a lot easier!

Check m8

I have sent in my solutions, as I will be far away this weekend to. I wont tell my score, but perhaps I can say that my best dark plus my best light solution is 9518 - or, hmm that was some hours ago. What is the score to get the Lord title? 4777?
