Here are the solutions, and the winner is...
?rjan Flatseth!

He won both the light and the dark medal, edging out a victory by 2 points each. BFC reached 1866 light with a very different approach, and Ogre made it to 1880 in the dark category.

There were more different constructions than could be suspected given the rather simple layout of the level. Have a look!

I also recieved an email asking how the "Weak Wall" in the level was made - the credit for this method goes to Skrying, who explained it in the experiments thread.

Congratulations Orjan and everyone that submitted solutions. Well done!

Two dollars!

Take my light catcher and make it work with my force solution and it's $1884. I can't do it though, the wall plates sliding over it make it fall apart. I tried for a good while to do that. Should've tried a little longer!

Congratulations ?rjan, totally surprising catcher. Actually there were many catcher innovations :armadillo:  ... must really take a look at some of these.

The "horn" is awesome  :D, as was Biodroid's and Dudiobugtron's off the wall creative solutions.

It looks like the Dark solution could be even cheaper, like with Casius' launcher.

Two excellent designs.

As for the catcher....rope! Brilliant, I wish I had thought of it - my light solution now works at 1770. D'oh!

Congratulations on the double medal, both well deserved.

Does this means I get Two medals for 4$? :D :D Hehe! I had some fun with the catchersystem on this one - the madnes came - grew stronger and finaly took over. The weight of the loose rope came handy as it makes it hell easyer to tweak as a substitute for the last ? pixls.
Gratulations all those who brove and fought! Lots of cool stuff as allways
som of my many favorites was n.favs force2, DBT - contabulous, snowlord -the horn (really artistic beauty there!!) KOS- ForceCourse2(yes I had to laugh of that antiklimax end :  ) and lots of others!

So to the problem - I have been ordered to help my father to help him carrying rocks around in the mountains (dont ask - I asure you the importance of it  ). So I leave tomorow and come home late sunday or something... I have a litle map I can uneash upon your poor souls, but I will not be able to promise to get the results finnished to sunday night - And most of all - I cannot confirm mails recieved. But perhaps ehr.. jup
whats going to happend now? (angst angst)

Congratulations Orjan :)

I will review the solutions later this evening. I was "this" close to getting a 1872 solution to work (no rope on the catcher), but could not get the 'Dillo to stay in place long enough.

Looking forward to the next one!

Hmm I wonder... There is an old ghost town 10km from the rocks Ill carry. I can use cloroform on a sami, steel a raindeer and ride through the snow, get clear of the abysses and shoot some icebears. Then I can start a riot in the town and sneak into an internetcaf? and check my email. The results will perhaps be a litle late, but the timelimit should be as usual. All this, unless somebody wants to take over the role as host. You will be welcome to do so! But if not I will do my best to let the show go on.

Many creative solutions here.

I try to make one 1884 dark solution but the dillo would not stay still long
enough at the end of a metal plate. 3 sec. most.

I have a image of it but i dont know how to put it in here.

Hmmm.

With my dark launcher and ?rjans incredible catcher it would have been
1998$, 2$ from the Lord title.
