Ultralight without force, no ULSpinners or any kind of perpetual motion, but I'll take it easy with longer bars on top of shorter ones, they aren't much of a trouble.

My solution is not a spinner or a sledge or any other kind of endless force producing structure. It does however produce force by putting large bar on top of short bar. This is allowed?

just making sure before I do any tweaking...

Yes, they are allowed. Anyway, I'll reply with a confirmation whether your solution is light or dark.

But please, make no mistakes- the DIY guide is there to disturb your building, you cannot build any bars on top of the timed ones. That's part of the ultralight rules.

Hopefully you guys will shift over to AR2 soon. I'm interested in playing again, but only with AR2.

Why are you waiting?

There was a problem with sending AR2 solution files by PM as the system was only set up to allow the sending of files from AR1. I only got word yesterday that this problem has now been put right (I had mentioned this earlier :) ). There is one final problem, which is a bit long winded. If you PM an AR2 file the recipient can only open it in AR2 but not in AR1. It wil only open in AR1 on the computer it was created on. This is only a problem if we continue to do Dark solutions.

It would be a huge help to me if everyone would say something about this debate and the change to AR2. I have tried to get as much feed back as possible from players with very little response and after several days there is still only 5 votes on the poll.

I personally felt there was a desperate need to get this Dark rules problem sorted out once and for all, but did not want to be seen as pushing through a change as if I was running the site. I was hoping to get a little more support but every one else seems to be sitting back and waiting to see what happens :) Unless there is a sudden rush of rejections I would suggest that we all change to AR2 when the present contests finish. Could I at least have some feed back on that suggestion :) Please do note that until the above file incombatability problem is sorted out it will be much simpler to just do Light solutions with AR2. :) :)

Okay, I'll start playing around with creating a level in AR2 when I get some time.

However time isn't something I have much of at the moment so don't hold your breath.

I think we should all start building some AR2 levels, and experimenting. I think everyone will be eager to have their levels played once they are made, and that will inspire the move from AR1 to AR2. I also suggest that we use A league for AR2 as soon as possible. I don't think we need to shift it into the C league. Lots of players are short on time and having a 3rd competition may not get many entries.

In reply to you Mark: Please god just forget about dark altogether with AR2. I can think of nothing more confusing than trying to hang onto dark solutions in an AR2 based competition that was deliberately designed to remove dark force. Personally I would be happy to see dark force banished forever, or at worst kept to it's own seperate AR1 competition thread

Back to this contest. :)

Thats not like you Votart there is a much cheaper way for the Light solution and it sure ain't with the pulley :) but you have got me on the Dark you must of used only one launcher, I'll see what else I can come up with I only had 7838 :dms:

Votart, there is nothing to stop you doing an AR2 contest in the C league, I would, but as most of my spare time has been taken up trying to get this mess sorted out  I have not had a chance to make any AR2 Levels, all my prepared AR1 levels are unsuitable.

Be prepared all, I found something very odd with the new bouncy Dillo, take a look at this (AR2 only) I have sent it to Peter so it should get sorted. We may well come across other peculiarities like this one so to help Peter please PM him anything you find which isn't quite right.

I agree and I think I have said that somewhere else :) after all, the Dark force would never have appeared in contest if it had not been for an error in the program. We can know start from square one again with this game and use it as the designer intended and with no rules required about what you can and cannot do except for maybe the odd special rules contest, if anyone ever does one again. If any Dark contests are to be done they would be best kept in a seperate League, I quite agree.

I am not in charge here I am just trying to inspire others to make decisions that we can all agree on. So, we will start with AR2 after the present contests finish. I would suggest a new league is created solely for AR2 so the history in the forum dosn't get mixed up, might have to get Peter to do this, I will ask him.

I only agreed that it might be good for Votart to run an AR2 contest in the C League now to keep it seperate from the rest, as above, I think a new League with no other history in it is required for the new AR2 A & B contests.
