I've only just taken a look at this level and I see you are pushing the scores very high very early.

It's a good job Crumpet isn't the host or he'd be :x

Anyway, my first untweaked POC is 1700+ too, so maybe I will get involved with this one. Obviously that all depends on how long it takes to tweak things.

You're right! :D
In this case I'm just :? because I'm not the host, otherwise I'd be :x
I gave it a try yesterday, but I gave up almost immediatly, having not seen an obvious way to get that score......
You probably won't see my (real) name in the solutions list..

Hello to all, a bit of a surge forward in the score is not too bad as there are only a couple of days left. My POC was nearing 1740 so there should be room for scores to rise at a reaonable pace. I am pleased to see that this contest has been downloaded more than 20 times, I don't think I have seen it that high before. Maybe those with the highest scores should hold back until the last 24 hours just to give some others a look in :) keep on tweaking.

Okay, so I had a solution that I hadn't actually tweaked the catcher on that was 1700+.

I've just spent about an hour messing around with ideas, and I can see that my final score with enough tweaking would be in the region of 1740-1750.

The problem I have is Votart has put me off even bothering. I'll almost certainly wait for the next competition.

I'm not going to spend hours tweaking a solution that loses.

Edit: mark, have you actually seen Votarts solution because has a horrible habit of thinking the most insanely dark things are light.

Yes, Votarts solution is without doubt Light.

I am sure you could produce a competitive solution or two if you have the time to spare.

I will probably look at it again at some point, and if I'm lucky everything will come together quickly enough for me to post a reasonable solution. I had a super tweaky 1758 catch, but I'm not even certain if it will all balance the dillo inside the portal once it's caught. The whole thing might flop so that it doesn't.

Either way, I'm not interested in it tonight. It's time to relax after a hard day. I'll find an hour tomorrow to have another look at it.

I'm not sure if this will inspire anyone to work harder but I have just managed to get my own solution over 1770 :lms: :) I wish I was competing instead of hosting :x

I think that the author of contest should not raise score because players send him the solutions, and it is not necessary much of mind to assemble from them the best solution!
To hedgehog it is clear that it is necessary for a victory more than 1770, at me while 1754 and without :lms: :x

As the host of the contest I cannot raise the score, I am not in the competition. The score had already been raised very high too early, I was merely trying to inspire contestants by telling them that a score above 1770 is possible.
