I should have said earlier, welcome to the forum. I have not been here for long myself so can appreciate the feeling you get when you have just solved a level and its nowhere near the top score.

You can learn a lot looking back through past contests, there are some good examples of long catchers and throwers in B136. You will see the one I built, the lack of experience shows

Any problems, just ask. Good luck in this contest and all future ones, it will get easier the more you learn.

I've got a 1740+ but the catcher can't cope with the speed of the Dillo good job we have got a couple of days left.

No doubt the old timers (Cresta/Ioncorpse) will show up in here fairly soon. I suspect they are busy with the B league right now, so push those score to the max

We all know Cresta will make a catcher with one piece of cloth and some spit.

Yes I've seen the catchers they build that seem to defy gravity and yet cope with catching a high speed Dillo with amazing ease.

My catcher was cut back to a flimsy design but then had to incoporate a metal plate to cope with the faster Dillo as I pushed the points up. Having just tweaked a little more I will lead the bidding with 1735+

I have a 1450+ here.

My dark solution is at its peak just waiting for someone to raise the bid.

Now had time to do the Light and so far 1450+ got some catching up to do.

EDIT. made it 1475+

2nd EDIT. Now its getting interesting 1475+++

1495 + and 1745

This is my limit on the dark 1746 I doubt if I can squeeze another point out of this.

But the light is a little better 1500+

Half a day left on this one and I've a small selection of submissions.

I don't want to give too much away because I think it's for the competitors to spur each other on, but what I can say is that no two solutions are the same or even close.

Fascinating solutions too, including the darkest light solution I've ever seen. You will have to see it to know what I mean.
