Competition - A - 242 - Choices

Submissions by PM

Naming convention is:
[DollarsRemaining]-[YourForumName]-[SolutionName]

Example:
1800-V4nKw15h-LightSolution1

GMT Time link: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Notes:
Thanks to markmadras I got AR up and running on my home machine and quickly knocked together this level for you all.
As is common with my levels you are offered a variety of routes to the finish.
Unlike my usual levels I haven't tested it to try and closesly balance each route so it's up to you guys to find the cheapest.
Under? Over? Or straight through the obstacles, you decide.
Made the comp last 4 days incase anyone wasn't expecting the level to appear until tomorrow.

Interesting level appropriately named, there should be quite a few different solutions for this one.

V4nKw15h, glad the program worked, never sent a .exe file by email before so was keeping my fingers crossed it would be OK.

Firstly, welcome to the forums and the competition Schmurple.

Secondly, did you mean 1424, or maybe even 1624?
The level only starts with $2000, so it's obviously a mistype.

I think he meant -6424, as in he actually spent 8424 total.

Edit:

What's the difference between using + and ++?

It's a personal thing.

You can just use a single + to mean everything, or ++ to mean "I've scored quite ALOT more than I'm telling".

Or if you look at the last competition I quoted 2700+++++++++++++++ because I'd actually scored 3123 :)

It's better not to slam down an enormous score in the first few days of a competition because it can put other players off even attempting to play the level.

So if you have a score miles ahead of what everyone else is posting, simply post a score a little higher than anyone else to encourage them to improve their solution.

If I'd posted 3100+ when everyone else was working on 2700+ they would all have given up playing straight away and that is no fun for me or for anyone else.

I have a few ideas for the dark which should be much higher
