Here are the results for the 239th A contest: Ballance.

The contest, as predicted, had a number of identical solutions at 920 so the medal will go to the best non-plate solution.
I recieved 4 completely different non-plate solutions.They were all very creative but there can only be one winner:

Jhep with an amazing 888 light no plate

Better late than never after hours of tweaking an 886 but not as good as jhep, well done, tweaking this was a test of patience.

That gives you a very deserved 2nd place. Looking at your previous solution i wondered why you put the rope there, probably helped balancing a bit?

Yup that rope made a big difference, without it it was a nightmare to tweak, got so close so many times and then fell over , hence the late entry, probably due to all the dark forces in the welding. I shall now have a stiff drink and relax a while before getting to work on the B contest.
