Just kept finding the dillo would tip out of a single-anchored catcher; tried pasting your catcher into my solution and tried tweaking it for a bit with no joy.

Yeah, I did think about that later. It was quite a tweaky catcher : very easy to overbalance.
I guess you weren't so lucky after all. It only looked like the perfect launch, but really wasn't. Anyway, good luck with the latest A league where luck isn't really much of an issue.
