You have to align the ropes precisely vertically. Create a piece of any material and move its nodes to any of the four level borders. It will make it straight, since the borders are straight.

Sob... you have no idea how many times i've micro-tweaked to get something to stay up... I never thought of using the borders :| I wondered how people always did it so well

Another way is to use AREdit program to input coordinates of nodes manually :wink:

So far I have got solutions from Ikerous, luka1222, NickyNick, wolrerw and Cresta.
