Armadillo battle

Postby Unw » Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:54 pm

I take that everyone is interested in that kind of competition. So let's try to organize one. I assume that we need at least 4 people for this (1 host and 3 players).

As for the format of the competition I see it like this:
The hosts posts a level, deadline is set to be +30 minutes. The one who sends solution with the highest score wins. Any number of solutions can be sent before deadline.

This can be done via either an IRC channel or forum private messages (I don't know the timestamp precision for pms though)

And the most important thing is to find time when we can run this. I hope to run one this weekend.
My timezone is gmt+3 (Moscow) and I think I'm free this weekend so almost any time is fine for me.

If I can I'll play but I don't know if I'll have time. If the lady wants to go out and I say I want to stay home to play "that silly game with the ball  " I'm in trouble

I am gmt+2, just pick a time and I'll try to join.

I'm GMT+05:00

How should we choose the time convenient for everyone? :?
I suggest pre-nominate some possible time, and then hold a competition at a time that is recorded most players.

I also believe that the duration of the competition should be one hour, otherwise we'll just enjoy the stupid solutions!

Details of contest are open for discussion. I just thought that 1 hour was a bit much, and I see nothing wrong with "stupid" solutions since it will be sort of anti-tweak contest as well. The level must not be too long to solve.

So the Saturday was suggested let's try to pick the time. Preferably in morning or evening. I'm fine with both. Votart can you post the time period on Saturday when you are likely to be able to participate?
