(does the 'force' (that's what it's called right?) count?)

Yes, force counts as it's own class of solution. The non-force winning solution gains the privilege of providing the next contest level as the only difference.

Good to see another person participating ;) good luck!

Yeah, tweak meh!

Postby ?rjan Flatseth » Fri Jul 21, 2006 8:37 pm

I have 2642 without white force - but i KNOW there must be a way of 2700. Yes, so now you can tweak yours to be 2644 :P
I like my dark force-solution so far. But Thats a secret.

Tweak on, you lazy diamonds...

I am over 2800 with dark majestetic unholy power. I still cant get the white version better then 2642, but I have made a litle bit crazy/fun-solution with my initials (?F) scrolling over the screen :P

I seem to be alone with the fragile situation. Once again 99 out of 100 tweaks of my catcher changes the launcher, and just lost a possible 2700 solution because the catcher needed adjusting. :x . I hope folks stop creating levels with barriers touching every single anchor point simultaneously connecting the beginning and ending. Little gaps between barriers would be welcome, too.

That's a good point, I should have remembered how touchy BFC's first level was for some types of solution (including mine) and put a small space in between top and bottom. My apologies.

How about using metalsheets instead of rubber, would it change anything?

Nope, I have a solution that completely breaks if you move any point 1 pixel in any direction. In fact, so far I've only been able to produce 3 working solutions, even though I'm tweaking all the time.
By the way, anyone above $2700 yet? (Without The Force of course)

Metal breaks too easily. Probably not a huge worry on most levels, it'll still likely cost more to break it than solve it "correctly", but with rubber there's essentially no worry at all. I've never seen someone break a rubber placed between two anchors. Someone did actually force the Armadillo through rubber on BFC's big rubber level, but that was extremely expensive.

Metalsheets are hard to brake if tension is max I think.

I think it's quite hard to break a metal sheet between two anchor points. This is one of the reasons I switched to sheets as it didn't seem like having the rubber and it's additional strength was needed.

My solutions are always 1 pixel sensitive regardless of the levels contruction anyway :)
