AR Forum Contest #6 (12/07/06 - 16/07/06)

Postby PeterT » Wed Jul 12, 2006 5:27 pm

Welcome again to another round of the venerable AR Forum Contest.
This time BFC provided a level which allows you to trade speed for convenience. It also doesn't feature any wobbly rubber walls, so there should be less controversy this time around ;)

Get the level here!

The rules are still the same, however there is one additional constraint: The long piece of cloth near the goal may not break, otherwise the solution is invalid.

In BFC's own words:
The long piece of cloth near the goal has a special "do not break" restriction if we go with this level. Otherwise, it some what trivializes the level. It's actually another little mini challenge to not break it as I have it under tension to make it more fragile. Everything else is fair game including tampering with the trap doors.

The deadline for this contest is Sunday, 16/07/06 18:00 CET (GMT+1).
(Not on monday this time as I'm not available then)

Send your submissions to BFC: oneBFC@gmail.com

I had a decent solution until I came back and reread this and noticed the "Do not break clause"....yes, that definitely makes it a fun challenge. Still working on a solution.

Send level submissions to : oneBFC@gmail.com

I should have mentioned that earlier. Normally, the person that wins the current contest then makes a level for the next one and becomes the "host" of that level and everyone sends their submissions to them.

This allows Peter to compete fairly.

No tweaks so far and it looks extremely sloppy.

Just got done with level myself. I had a few working solutions prior but they were crude "is it solvable" types.

I can't wait to see how many of you beat my solution!
