Happy new year! Thanks for a interesting armadilloyear! -wonk, wonk! I have been working for 12 hours now - that does the same job as 12 glasses of alcohol-units. Special thanks to the female cartoons in Disneys tales! by the way: whats the name of Donald Ducks home-town? I actually want to know! 'round here we call it Andeby - or Duck City, directly translated.  :?: :!:

Slightly late, but Happy New Year to everyone!

In English, Donald lives in 'Duckburg'. 'burg' is used colloquially to mean 'Town' or 'City' etc... but I think it mean 'Fortress' in German.

This makes sense since: (according to the wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duckburg )
In the comics, the location that would eventually become known as Duckburg was originally known as "Fort Drake Borough," a fort built in the 16th century by British explorer Sir Francis Drake. By the 19th century, the fort had been handed over by its departing British occupants to Cornelius Coot, who renamed the fort "Duckburg."

In particular, you might be interested in the list of names for Duckburg in other languages:
