What would people like in an AR book?

Postby kingofthespill » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:52 am

I am working on a book about Armadillo Run. So far the general plan is to have a Physics reference, a little encyclopedia of AR specific constructions, a gallery of the cheapest "light" solutions for the built in levels, and a contest training section.

If you are interested in a book on AR, please post what you would like to get out of it. Thanks!

A new interview with Peter Stock and interviews with contest legends on how they approach solutions and in-depth how to construct a good level.
I have an inferiority complex, it's just not a very good one.

how to construct a good level.

That's an interesting question, and one that seems hard to put in words.

Maybe you should start a thread on favourite custom levels and then when you feel you know which levels are popular, interview the creators...

Cool if you published the book in wikijpedia :P

A cool thing would be a thumbnail overview through the historical contest levels.

:)
Alternatives to the expensive built-in timer is going to make it in the book.

The "force" will be mentioned, although it still is a bug that will someday be removed.

I'm not sure about a AR wiki, but the "light list"is already up on the main site.
