Hi.

Does anyone know what the files in the Levels folder that are prefixed with a '~' are for? Can I delete them?

e.g.

~Level 1 - A gentle start.lvl

Thanks.

No dont delete them. These are level-files. All the levels that are built in or created by someone has a "~". The files without the "~" is progressfiles wich keeps your personaly saved solution and their remaining score. Maybe im not 100% correct in my understanding of it - but I can asure you: you dont want to delete them JUST because they have an ~ to it.

Nope you're wrong :P

The ~ files are the default saves - they save the current state of the unnamed solution that comes up when you click on a level that you already opened before.

I always thought that data was saved in the 'prg' file?

No, there is only one prg file per level set. I'd guess it saves the best score(s) - they have to be saved extra as the latest attempt's score may not equal the best one.

Either way, I shouldn't delete them.

Thanks.

It's completely fine to delete them. If you go to level 1, take a look at the default solution, exit, delete ~Level 1 - A gentle start.lvl, restart, and go back to level 1 it will be blank.
