I actually think it died... I'm waiting for AR2 to fully release, or at least show some more updates, but the last update was like a full year ago... Where the hell are the developers?

i'm pretty sure the developers either jumped off a cliff, or wran out of money, or moved on to other things. Either way, I don't see why that should stop the forums and competitions from staying active, if they won't update AR, then so be it, we can use the old version. Its still fun. and it won't just Stop being fun even if there are a few bugs. I think the forums should start up again. Why not? what are we waiting for?

We can run the competition anytime, the problem is the number of participants.

We will not have even 10 players, thats why it stoped. I don't know, why Peter ?closed? Ar2, at least he could make it Open Source.
This game is in Top-5 of my list.

Well, atleast 5 people are still here, that's good enough for a competition i think. I will participate in any competition and we have to start at some number, so why don't we just restart the competitions and not worry about the numbers? maybe they'll grow maybe they'll shrink, who knows, either way, i've run out of levels to play in AR and would love to see the competitions start again.

I wrote to Peter 22 Mar 2011:
Hi, Peter!

Tell me please, when will the release of AR2?
I'm really sorry if this game will die.

With hope, Votart Silak )

He told me today:
Hi Votart,

Although the current version 2 beta is available to everyone, I'm not officially releasing it as the main (default) version of the game, because there are some more things I want to add to the game, and having 3 or more different officially released versions would be confusing. The current version 2 beta does achieve pretty much all the simulation bug fixes that I wanted to do though.

I have paused work on Armadillo Run at the moment to concentrate on development of my new game. I do plan on returning to Armadillo Run at some point in the future, but I don't know when exactly.

Hopefully my new game will please some of the people who liked AR too!

Peter
