Name that tactic

Postby kingofthespill » Sun Aug 13, 2006 7:15 pm

I am trying to get a name for placing objects adjacent to one another without being connected. I like "resting on", although it could be "sitting on", "adjacent", "pressed against", or something come physics like "normal". Any opinions?

To me it's clearly "resting on" the other bar.

Nice. It also applies to other situations, like roller coasters and sliding counterweights.

I guess "resting on" is pretty clear, although it doesn't really grab me.

How about 'juxtaposed'?
I have an inferiority complex, it's just not a very good one.
