WARNING :!: :!: :!: :!: : IF YOU CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE ARMADILLO IN ARMADILLO RUN, YOU MUST HAVE THE ORIGINAL GRAPHICS OF THE ARMADILLO IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT BACK.

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN AR UNTILL YOU HAVE READ ALL OF THIS.

Well, I have found out how to change the color of the armadillo, and have taken full advantage of it  .

Step 1 -Well if you look go into "My Computer - Local Disc (C: ) - Program Files - Armadillo Run - Graphics" then you can right click the picture labled: "armadillo" (It will look like a rectangle, not a circle) and click "Edit".

Step 2 - After that you can change the colors of it and draw on it or whatever, then you click "File" and then "Save".

Step 3 - Repeat "Step 1" but instead of editing the picture labled "armadillo" click the picture labled "armadillo_blink" and color it same color you colored the "armadillo" picture.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHANGING THE ARMADILLO BACK TO ITS REGULAR COLOR:

Step 4: You must be in "Paint" and then open the original picture of the armadillo you saved before you edited. Then, click "Edit" and then "Select All" after that, press "Edit" again and then "Copy". Repeat "Step 1" and then click "Edit" and "Paste". Now you will see the regular picture of the armadillo. Now click "File" and "Save".

Step 5: After that, you must change the color of the "armadillo_blink" picture. Repeat "Step 4" but instead of opening the original picture of the armadillo open the original picture of the armadillo_blink. Also, instead of editing "armadillo" in paint, edit "armadillo_blink" in paint.

2 errors with this :
Not everyone has it in the program files folder.
Not everyone uses paint.
Hahazz.
Copy files somewhere safe, and change the 2 pics.
Simple.

Also, the image can be larger, if you want to do a HD dillo :)

Here is mine (same res, new colours)

I Have also just discover this. but i have used some photoshop graphics to spice up the armadillo. Here he is. There are still a few bugs. as you can see the armadillo is very pixelated. I am working on a higher quality on. Also i found that you can change the colors of the elastic, rope, cloth, what the buttons look like, the pixel formation of the rockets, what the nodes look like, and the starting screen while armadillo run lodes. my only disappointed is that the metal bars, metal sheets, rubber, and rockets are not edible by just switching out graphics. Peter Stock never must have taught that people would be changing out the graphics so he divided to use code to image those.

your image it too big and when applied to the armadillo it blanks the image out. try starting with the original pic.

Errm, it works for me. Perhaps you have an antiquated graphics card that can't handle most texture sizes (power of 2 only?)

Some may recognize this from the Metroid series...

Metroid Ball! Sheer genius! I love it.

I had done this after being sick of my family saying "That's not an armadillo, it's a ball with an armadillo picture on it!". I was about to post about my graphics modding, but then I saw this.

This is inspired by a piece of K'Nex that was kicking around under my feet when I was replacing the graphics. Enjoy.

I've been replacing other stuff too - the graphics get a comical look when you replace the link and rocket particles with just plain circles. I'll make a .zip of my 'graphics mod' soon.

What is the size of the texture?

First, make sure each side is a power of two.
