The Floating Wheel.

Postby gokou135 » Fri Mar 09, 2007 3:17 am

Hey all, i was messing around with nexferrets perpertual motion vehicle that he posted in the topic a few above this one. I was messing with it because i love testing the limits of things (that car of his takes down anything).

Anyway i thought it would be fun to completely dismantle the vehicle and hang one of the wheels by a string or so. What happened i think is pretty cool and i wanted ot share it.

It seems that the elastic is actually going around fast enough to almost serve as solid ground in a sense. I put an extra string in the middle of the wheel to prove that it does not fall down, you will notice that the string in the middle is never tightened.

i think its just the elastic tightening up and loosing and also the outward force tightening. its just theory and its hard for me to explane.
