High speed glitch

Postby Unw » Mon Dec 04, 2006 1:54 pm

Don't know if it's already been mentioned

Armadillo goes at such a high speed that it penetrates indestructible plate of metal or any other material. It happens when in 1/100 seconds it covers more than radius distance. Its hard to achieve with default sized dillo but much easier with smaller ones.
i think it can be used in some spectator levels or levels with small dillos

here's the default sized dillo goes through 2 indestructible metal plates
used "uber force"

It has been noticed before, but never described in such detail. Thanks for your contribution to Armadillo Science ;)

A further question - can the armadillo go through non-indestructable metal plates?

The armadillo seems to demolish them if they aren't indestructable. (I tried editing the level so that the armadillo travels though many layers of cloth to see how much it'll take to stop it. (A bunch of cloth.))

It can, but the structure that holds metal plate should be able to sustain the momentum that this plate gets from armadillo

You can use lightspeed to push metal through a series of cloth too

Bounce can also be shown quite neatly using these levels (attached)

Using weight on either side of the bar, you can alter the height (more weight, more height) and direction (slightly harder, more to luck (elastic not breaking) when shooting high). Altering the position of the bars also adds a random factor.

Spent about two minutes trying to get the dillo back up to the rubber :P
