Experiments Thread

So, I thought a good thread allowing people to show off their experiments would be fun!

So, here's mine, some from spinners others are pretty good and I've built the closest to an anti-gravity rocket setup I've seen yet.

I wanted to add. There are many interesting things you can do using exact straight lines. Rope to suspend tons of weight directly above it (not moving at all) and also some pretty extreme shooting devices. All very cool.

That is so awesome!! I made one that incuded the armadillo balancing.

I was wondering if I could make a big effect with a small cause and came up witht this level, I was also wondering if anyone could find out what I was doing.

Not sure what the goal in the level was, I'm guessing you are talking about the timer on the rubber.

How do you get the pieces exactly straight? I can have it such that there are no visible jogs along the edge of a section at any zoom level and it will still be slightly off.

A snap to vertical/horizontal would be nice for this type of thing. Although that might have unforeseen negative results on solutions.

Man I love this level.

The rocket thing is impressive, but the twoer thing on the left is so much more impressive - I still can't believe it can be done! Esp. the rubber bit

Nice work Skyring!

Very impressive 'piece placement' it's quite hard to see your 'trick' on first, second or even third glance!

Even the smallest event can be cause for the most cathastrophical effect. And vice verca. Everything is connected in causality, goodbye free will, welcome determinism. 8)

Well, you have to experiment at different zooms at witch there is onw zoom where is you make a straight line with no visible jagged lines, it will be perected straight line. I hope this answered youre question

There's a lvl called 'keepy-upsies' on the main site which is all about keeping the armadillo up with just one rocket.

I have a solution:

But I want to know if it's possible to do it just balancing the armadillo on a rocket? I thought I'd leave it up to the balancing experts!!!

Wanna see some extreme balance skills? Check out this level:

http://chemicalhardware.com/How.lvl

BTW, you guys are making the straight stuff WAY to hard. Its actually extremely easy and I can tell you in about two steps how to make 20 bars perfectly in line.

... if I wanted to!

The first one who figures out gets a hug!

Also, I can make 20 perfectly straight horizontal bars too!

Also, if anyone figures out the secret, do some stuff with rope and elastic when it perfectly straight lines. They can hold a ton of weight this way.

lol, the 'two steps' thing made it easy to figure out how to do it!

Thanks for the hint dude u are very clever to have figured that out :D

I'll take a rain-check on the hug though :P

"Two Steps" - All you have to do is make the level boundries aline with the rocket, then aline all the objects youre ballencing to with the level boundries.
