a simulation of a sea voyage

I was playing around with a sort of hovercraft (was more like a platform) using rockets and making a sort of landing pad, then one idea led to another and I created a sort of simulation of a sea voyage.

Since I haven't fully mastered the various types of force engines possible in the game (probably only a few), I used one that I knew to make a sort of reciprocating engine (not sure if that's the correct term) to produce the back and forth movements.

I know it's somewhat crude, but still pretty innovative I would say :)

that's actually pretty cool,i tried to add a little extra rope so it wouldn't get stuck for a sec during the backswing but it just kinda broke

I know it's rather crude, its partially limited because of the materials available, the only reason the cloth is there is because its blue and helps represent the sea surface. The other two pieces are sails. Still, it is a pretty innovative use of materials.

Teh Flan, just adjust the tension as I used that to control the rotation.

In case anybody is wondering, those metal things above the ship are suppoused to be seagulls.
