The ArmadilloCar Crash Challenge

Postby Stigern » Fri Mar 09, 2007 1:13 am

Okai, I don`t know if many of you here would like to make cars or even try to compete about the safest cars.

Well, if anyone would make some cars, and if test them. There have to be standards and rules. And here are they!

1. No Rockets! (only the force for speed)
2. The "chassis" of the car aka the outher layer must be Metal sheet. Except for front and back window, bottom, these are made of Metal bar.
3. No rubber, cloth, ropes, etc outside the car "chassis".
4. No modifications to the track.
5. 2 or more wheels.
6. No timers.
7. Hit wall in 11.5 seconds.
8. Armadillo must be inside vehicle.
9. Not allowed to use rubber only.

Okai, for all cars to hit at same speed they have to be adjusted to hit the end wall at around 12 seconds. And the cars haveto be placed at the end of the track.

Just look at the example car I made with the design track.

You can design the car freely, as long as it follows the rules. And bigger isn`t always better.

And of course, the poor Armadillo have to be safe or atleast "survive" the crash.

So, try to make the safest car!

Obviously, this car isn`t safe!

Well, im open for change in rules, just dont know how to get it "fair" for everyone.

EDIT:

Tip. For those who dont know, adjust the tension in the wheels to adjust the speed.
