I cannot apologise enough for lumbering you with a level that was so easy to draw.
The thought just never crossed my mind. ("Newbie pillock" springs to mind )

I announce the contest closed. (Comments received and my development position prevents this one from proceeding)

I have to select a winner / winners out of the mess that I created.
I hope you agree with my decision...

Special mention goes to Unw, Votart and Ioncorpse for announcing that the level would end in a draw.
Umw posted his analysis in the forum before my mouse had cooled down from putting the level up in the 1st place!

I received solutions of 992 from Ioncorpse, Sendai and Votart.
But, I cannot base my decision on that alone.
Sendai was the first to submit (He also suggested a draw would occur)
Votart was the first to post 992 on the board and ask the game to halt.
Ioncorpse had the most interesting 992.

I suggested that one possible decider may be to declare the winner as the FASTEST solution.
I received FAST solutions of 992 from Sendai and Ioncorpse
Sendai was the fastest with 5.51 seconds
Ioncorpse closely behind with 5.55 seconds

So. Given that Sendai was both the FIRST and the FASTEST entrant I declare him the winner.
Congrats to Sendai !

Again, please accept my apologies for putting you all in this mess.
I fully understand that some experts may not have entered, or stopped solving, because they realised that there was little point in doing so!)

(As an aside, Sendai was also the winner of the previous contest, so this one was just a thorn in your sides!)

Unfortunately, I will be house-sitting this weekend and I don't expect to have internet access. This makes it slightly difficult to host! I believe I shall have to pass the torch once again... Ioncorpse, feel free to host the next one, if you like!

No, of course not! I was happy to give you a shot.

I have a level idea, but right now can't host it.
If Votart or Dave wants - it's even better, I'll test my level conception and will post it next time.

Dave, I suggest you to start new contest again

At least you'll have the chance to learn how to make good levels Dave. Everyone here will agree creating a good level is harder than solving them. Especially levels with (a lot of) extra rules

You were very close to a superb level Dave, it is so easy to get it wrong and miss something that may be so obvious to someone else. It happens to all of us .
