EDIT: My solution no longer behaves this way, but for the sake of the other participants, a ruling would still be nice.

Can you send me that file Sendai - I'll have a look at it, I can't get my head around that idea.

The ability for us to change prices is one of my favourite additions to AR2. We've had quite a few competitions designed with cheap elastic, rubber and tension to broaden the options available for solutions. It's quite common now to see tensioned rubber or elastic win.

Right.
The game is drawn.
Congrats to all the experts who predicted that.
When you see my POC ( ), and some of the early solutions, you will understand why the idea never crossed my mind.

How do you want to proceed?
I can post the results files received so far, together with times received if necessary.
But, cudos should be given to everyone, since of the draw prediction. Some experts didn't enter because they foresaw it.

I could announce a winner based on results received,
I could knock up a decider that could NOT be drawn. But I'll not publish any of my current levels that I thought were good enough for B League, since they are, probably, drawable too.
OR - someone can offer to HOST.

I'll be back pm UK time, hopefully, and see what you guys have decided.
Sorry for the indecision and the outcome, Dave.

I can see room for tweaking my solution so I am obviously behind. What score has everyone else got.

992 :lms: I suppose... I haven't played it yet, but if you need another 992 - just ask.

Or - as one expert has 'suggested' - THE FASTEST solution wins.
Back on-line now - BB down all day - the guy(s) that shout(s) loudest get the road to progression!
Again - Please accept my apologies for putting us all in this position.
IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN (flw)
Dave.

I think you need to clarify the situation Dave, is it a draw and contest over or :?: :?

Could be a good contest using normal rules :D

You are the host so you need to make a decision :D

I guess Dave has gone off line again. We will have to waite for him to return and sort this out. Meanwhile I have got something close to max but still have no idea what score you have all made a draw on :?

I have 992 :lms: and I think the fastest solution (5,55 seconds to complete). (Btw: Idea about fastest solution isn't mine)
If new rules will appear - probably I will not participate, I had a lot of fun playing this level, it's really B league level, if you want good "creative & less time on tweaking" solution. But play it once more - no way. :D
IMHO we can wait for others and come to unique situation, when everyone will win in a tie (Guinness world record?). But if someone don't want - we can close this one and show results.

I managed to get 986 at 62 secs, couldn't see any other way to use the timer and have it fail if it was removed so needed just one extra rope.

I think Dave should end the contest and start another, if he has something ready, or give it to the first submission he received with max score :D

Clarification will follow ASAP.
Dave.

THIS CONTEST HAS CLOSED.

Please see the Results thread for the final rundown and what , hopefully, will be my last apology!
I really feel annoyed with myself for putting you guys through this one!
