AR2.1.2 B 054 GG Results

Postby ioncorpse » Mon May 24, 2010 10:12 am

Only 3 players so far, probably it was hard, but this is a B league.

And the winner is Rob, with 2750 :lms: as I asked. :D
Btw you can try to invert his trigger to achive 2760..

Congratz to the winner, thanks everyone for playing it. :D

Congratulations Rob, love your lift design.

Nice contest requiring some new ideas to build a lift, shame a few others didn't have a go :D .

Congratz Rob.

A good job on a great level. (VERY WORTHY of B LEAGUE)
Ion didn't want to publish my submit at 0

I learned how to build a lift  (just when I'd mastered welding too  )
I knew a lift was needed, but couldn't figure how to build it.

Ion. Are you going to let on how to put items outside the box?

Dave.

I don't receive your solution, Dave. You can just post it in this topic.

Armadillo and portal can be put outside the boundary without any problem, everything else - only through the bug in previous beta, in this one it's forbidden (Rare case when bug fixing upset users  )

Thanx Ion,
Sorry - I thought I'd sent you this ... But that's newbies for you

If anyone was proud to get 0 then ...

Cheers for the tips too.
Dave.

Good gray for a newbie!
I fixed your level in 1 minute :D 2222, if your construction fails - you can use other anchor points and button F to understand where is the main problem.

P.S. Use Metal bar instead of Metal sheet for weight, especially when prices changed.

I spent a bit longer and raised the lift with a length of welded bar. A much better power to $ ratio :D saving $200+ :D

Many thanks Ion and Mark.
Yup - that was the sort of thing I had in mind.
But, I knew I needed a proper 'lift' - I just couldn't build it.
(Mark's and Rob's solutions include them I believe)

AND my welding needs some adjustment - I'm leaving gaps all over the place which make things a bit 'floppy'.

I failed on this level because -
If I added more 'counter'-weight then the Dillo would fall out at the top,
Or the structure would break :!:

Or if I tried to LOWER the catcher (or reduce counter-weight) then ..
The Dillo wouldn't get there at all,
Would get there too low,
Would fall out the catcher before it moved :!:

That was a great level for B League and I enjoyed watching, and hopefully learning from, the POCs.
(And the adjustments you guys demonstrated)

Cheers, Dave.
