AR2 B 047 Four Rooms (21.04.10 20:00)

Postby Njaa » Sat Apr 17, 2010 5:54 am

Welcome to the forty-fourth edition of the current B contest era.

This level is a bit odd. You might say that gravity is three fifths of what is normal. You might also say that in room two you are not allowed to tip the balancing metal sheets, and in room four the spirits advise you not destroy the hanging structure.

If these constraints were to be ignored, one risks being held in my dungeon indefinitely.

Rope, elastic and timer require less investment than normal, while rockets and tension have a higher toll.

If anyone has trouble with room four, I might be persuaded to help dispel the darkness.

Confusions, solutions and cries for help can be sent by missive personae.

For anyone who might be less enthusiastic about my poetry:

AR2 Version 2.1.2 Beta is used, make sure you use the correct version.
If you download this level please submit your solution even if you think it's not good. You help us keep the forum alive and we might be able to help you become a better player.

Prices of materials are changed.
Submissions by PM.

Also, special rules regarding room 2 and 4:

In room 2 you are not allowed to tip over any of the four balancing metal plates. They have to be standing vertical when the simulation ends.

In room 4 you are not allowed to destroy the hanging structure consisting of three metal plates. Also, I will help anyone having trouble getting the 'Dillo out of the first trap. Send me a PM.

I wouldn't normally send a file to the board like this, but this isn't DARK - It's INVISIBLE :!: :!:
Watch the 'dillo in Room 4 ... go figure! (This was created in Normal Play Mode)
And it looks like I have to DL the file again to start over.

Dave.

I have understood nothing from this :?

I also don't see what you mean :? nothing happens.

Getting out of the trap in 4 is easy. Its the rest of the contest that will take ages. I do hope I'll find the time...

Sorry for the confusion Guys,

I wondered if it was my machine at fault when I downloaded the file again, and it behaved the same.
I thought for a moment that I was seeing things - but no. I created a Rubber which pushed the 'dillo to the right
then clicked on CLEAR and when the sim runs again the 'dillo still moves to the right (even though the Rubber has been 'deleted')

(I've removed the spurious file and comments from the above post. It looks like I can't really enter this one)

Dave.

The armadillo is shot to the right in room 4 because it overlaps with the wall. It's the same as with room 3, where it is shot upwards instead. The rubber you added didn't do anything.

I hope you will enter, Dave. (:

Hmmm I think I'll look at this again in the morning :? Got the smallest Dillo out of its trap and completed the big Dillo, but the rest

Just need to clear up a little confusion in room 2 can we lock the plates in position to keep them vertical :?:
