I consider that it was fight of giants!
When markmadras has sent the first solution to me it was necessary to alter the my POC. I thought that at any launcher and my catcher will be the best, but it has appeared on another.
The winner two.
One has sent the solution the first, but another very persistent.
I can tell only one: more abruptly fight and solutios I did not see.

Wow, got to the max with Ioncorpse. The final few points were a nighmare to tweak without the tweaking program and the bounce bug kept flicking the Dillo out of the catcher. Persistence paid off and all of a sudden the Dillo just sat completely still in the catcher

Congrats to Ioncorpse for getting there first, you may host the next contest if you wish, I have one ready but I think when solved it will not have much scope for tweaking, I'll leave it up to you .

EDIT. I just tried your catcher Ioncorpse it was so much easier than mine

markmadras, you got very cool launcher, I never thought about such construction! And I agree with you, your catcher is something...unreal I should say. I can imagine how much time you spent on it. My took less than 10 minutes, thanks to Peter and his speedup feature!

Amazing solutions.
Mark, I shudder to think how you tweaked that catcher without ARTweaker.
And to think that you and ioncorpse came up with the same amazing score with different catchers.

It's conceivable that with ioncorpse's catcher without the rope, and Mark's balancing act, that 1938 is possible (perhaps with Tweaker).

You can imagine how hard I kicked myself when I saw Ioncorpse's catcher

No Jim, without tweaker 1938 isn't possible. Even with it, it's not possible (if we will not reveal new bug in AR2 engine).
I tried such balanced things in 50 basic levels and spent huge amount of time on them. Trust me If you get lucky - you'll end up with ~3 seconds in portal.
Thats why I said "I will win this one:)"
