I have no idea what you mean about an obvious tweak to remove randomness. I hope there is no dark force type cheat possible. That would be a shame.

I found it very random to get an initial launch that was good, but once I had it I was able to tweak it fairly predictably. Is that what you meant?

Ah that's okay then.

For some reason I quite like the initial randomness. It made me want to play it.

I very rarely if ever play my own levels past getting a POC but this one entertained me today for over two hours. Whether I would want to continue playing the lottery is another matter though.

Generally I will experiment on a level for 1-2 hours and then tweak whatever solution I have as far as it will go. If that isn't enough it's rare I will go back for a second try. That's about what happened here, but there are still days left, I might get bored.

I'm looking forward to seeing how people try to control the start.

It's not as random as you might think. I managed to make the launcher quite tweakable.

I started with random launches until I got something quite good, and then found it really quite tweakable. I managed to tweak $60 off my solution from tweaking my launcher to get the dillos to land more precisely.

Oh, and I think B league doesn't need to be any longer than 4-5 days. I only ran this competition for 6 days and it's already been dead for 2 days. It doesn't even end for another 24 hours, so there was only real activity here for 3 days.

Considering that this level also allows almost infinite tweaking it is obvious that players get bored well before these B league competitions are due to end.

I think without having both dark and light solutions to find we don't need such long competitions. I suggest we try 4 day B leagues unless a level is extremely big.

4-5 days is ok for me, 5 is better.

Accidentally I had enough time to play AR2 last weeks. In that case - 4 days is enough, but when I don't have too much free time - 6-7 days is better. I think, the same is actual for everyone? Thats why I think, that 5 is better than 4. Hoster can use intuition, to decide how long competition will be.

My time is almost always dependant on my level of interest in the game.

At the moment I'm enjoying AR2 and discovering new things, so it is quite high on my list of things I want to do in my spare time. However, if another great game gets released I might prefer to play that and so I have no time left for AR.

The next game on my hit-list is Borderlands so expect me to disappear for a week or two around that time. It is released this month I think. I tend to play one game at a time until I'm totally bored with it, and then probably never look at it again.

AR is one of the few games that I keep coming back to and that is because of the user created levels keeping things fresh. Make a very interesting level and I will play it whether I'm busy with something else or not.

I realised that I will be driving home from work at the time this was due to end. I will not be able to post results until a couple of hours later, so I've added 2 hours more to the end time.

I know it probably makes no difference, and everyone is finished already with this one, but maybe someone will have one last push on it today and there is no point ending it when I'm driving.
