Welcome to the 2nd contest in our new AR2 B League, 3ways.
All three Dillo's must go there respective coloured portals to complete the level.
Gravity, material prices, tension & timers have been changed from default.

Naming convention is
[DollarsRemaining]-[YourFourmName]-[SolutionName]
Example, 1500-rapido-dunnit

Hope this is OK, it was made for A League but only needing 2 out of 3 Dillo's to complete so I changed it to 3 out of 3 for B League :) .

As a rule of this contest, no high bidding on first two days, please :)

Haven't seen level yet, but what to post a comment:
"Gravity and material prices have been changed from default." I think it must be a rule, to post this text in every competition where there are changes in gravity/prices. Because it's not fare if someone will made a good solution and only then will understand that f.e. rocket is cost 5$ :)) And it's borring to check manualy the prices on every level.

Or maybe Peter can add this feature (some flag as for gravity) in AR2 release?

#edit: How about rule for levels naming? I propose "_" as it was in AR1 instead of yours markmadras "-". I think it should be "AR2_B_00N_Name". If someone isn't agree - please write your proposal.

I agree it would be useful to put at the start of the contest a list of what has been changed. Gravity is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the level and also the number of Dillo's required to complete the level, so these are obvious, but any price change is not obvious, I am sure Peter could add something so that this is clearly displayed. I have edited the contest description to include price change on tension and timers, which I had missed out.

About naming the levels, not sure why I did that with the dashes. I better leave it for now as it has already been downloaded :oops:

This is all part of the fun of testing the Beta version of AR2. Ioncorpse found a way of breaking through steel plate using welding, I would guess this is the same force that is being generated by the Jackhammer configuration of plates in AR2. This is one of the bugs that Peter is going to remove from Beta2, meanwhile I think it would be fare to ban this from any solution so we can make no use of the bugs that can still produce some Dark force. Welding by itself is fine with AR2 and can be used to break steel plate but the plate needs to break because of the arrangement of levers not due to a bug in the physics engine.

I hope you will all agree that to abuse the bugs in the Beta version would be pointless and must be classed as Dark.

I don't agree. In my solution I used same method as ioncorpse. Any solution in AR2 must be classified as light else we again will suit a brothel as well as in AR1.

I'll have a look at this level in a minute but I agree with Votart that we must allow, even encourage abusing bugs in the engine for as long as AR2 is in beta. That's the best way to find the most bugs so peter can fix them.

OK guy's, I'll reverse my decision. No restriction in use of Dark bugs from now on. Sorry to mess you about Ioncorpse, you may now use your method of breaking steel plate.

I have to say though there is a cheaper way around this solution without breaking plate :wink:
