Actually, Andrew would have been a clear second, as Votart's 1860 result "does not work" - just like he named it.

I had a lot of similar trouble tuning "wobbleboard" to work. The slightest touch of the dillo against the big dillo would destroy the catcher instantly.

I had also tweaked my 1870 "pushup" to 1876, but the 1906 result made it redundant.

New challenge will be up soon.

Some more tweaking......

Firstly, Alex's solution pushed to 1866.

Secondly, AndrewandTim were really onto something clever......
Their concept allowed a "legal" version of "hangon", solving for 1880.
It could probably be pushed even further, using just one cloth patch opposite the catcher.......

Nice tweaking... we were theorizing that something like that could be done, but couldn't get it to work...
