Oh - misery

I was enjoying this one so much I just went to try to finish one of 2 levels I've spent hours and hours designing and they've both disappeared complete with background picture.
Just "back-distoring" the picture took hours in its own right.

It's a while since I was there, but I can't imagine any way they could have gone, especially selectively (unless it was as far back as the update!).
Not in a 'safe' copy folder, not on my old disk drive, not lurking as *.lvl ...

Well I hope you find them decsystem10 ,with that you sound hopeful of a win .

Sorry to hear about the misery. I had something like that myself - I thought I had lost my profile with all my competition solutions in it.
But it turns out I had just mis-clicked the desktop icon, and started the wrong program. Phew. (I have two game installations, one for original play, and another for these challenges.)

It does sound like some sort of hard drive corruption went on though. To lose the background image as well... that's significant, I think. Really rotten luck.


This is a strangely awesome challenge. At first glance I feared the dillos were twice the normal size, and so heavy they'd break everything. But it was just optical illusion.
And I too feel like I found a strangely awesome solution quite early.
But I can't imagine any other way to do it, either.
Maybe some inspiration will come in the next four days, but I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone else's results.

PS: I'll point out again, that the first few AR2 challenges were not solved using the 2.1.3 version, but presumably 2.0.0. I only discovered that when the five year old solutions completely and utterly failed to solve.

Yeah, we decided to go back and play the AR2 league from the beginning again. It solved the "creativity" problem of the same few people having to make new levels, and allows the host to compete as well. But old hands like yourself and Dec10 were playing back then, too.

These very early levels used a version before 2.1.3.
They do not solve the same, so we have to build new solutions, and avoid copying the old ways.
I hope you have forgotten how you solved it, It was over 5 years ago.
