One "obvious" solution. I suspect that option 2 won't be as economical.... :(

1111+

Still got to build option 2.
But it's looking like a dry week, so I'm back on the roof, replacing the ancient fibreglass of the conservatory, and doing the other half of the tile underfelt.

1222+ ^^
I only have one solution for the moment. Just got a new keyboard after I managed to ruin my earlier one... Spilled soda onto it. :P

I hope the wather stays dry for you so you can fix what you need. :)

So far so good. The weather forcast said "dry 'til Friday night" and it's been right so far. There's been some very heavy and threatening clouds, but no rain. :D
Thursday will be getting windier and Friday might get very windy, but the first rain due in my region is sometime Friday night.
Just as well - I still have all the tiles off, and they won't be going back 'til Friday. Hoping to finish the new polycarbonate conservatory roof today - one day late.

I can tack the new underfelt across the hole in ten minutes, if the forecast goes wrong. But I'm hoping that won't be necessary.

still also only the one solution, but going to build the second one now, before I can start making building noise at an acceptable hour. :D

Many membrane keyboards are washable, you know. There's a continuous rubber membrane under the keys that keeps the soda away from the electrics. But the soda will make the keys stick, so disassembling and washing is a good idea. Might be worth practising, to acquire a spare keyboard! Assuming it's not already in the trash can.

Glad to hear the rain has stayed away :D I also hope the rain stays away until saturday or so so you can complete it without hurrying. :)

1777+ Still only have one solution as well, I tend to be pretty bad at creating any efficient lifters, so we will see how my solution holds out. :D

Oh I've cleaned many a keyboard, but I know this one is fried because pressing various buttons do completely different things than what they're supposed to do. Such as the right shift button being alt-tab or some equivalent of that. and one of the other buttons produce three different letters when you push it. So it is pretty badly soda filled. I stopped drinking soda two weeks ago, so it's just unlucky that I hadn't moved all the half-empty soda bottles I had nearby... (One of my bad habits)

But I am very happy with my current logitech bluetooth keyboard. Though I seem to always be happy when I have a new lightweight keyboard :P

the second solution is close, but not quite working.

I also used expensive by quick "initialisers" so while it might be competitive on price if "done right", as it stands it wouldn't beat my first solution.

And now it's time to start drilling and sawing. :(

1800+ and not much more room to manouvre
