Two competitors again, but a very close fight, in the end. Well done, guys.
Slightly different approaches, one "opening the door" and the other "smashing it down".
The winner, with 1846, was Mark_man. Congratulations!
Nibbling at his heels, with an official 1828, was Arunion. Excellent effort, and bad luck missing a potential win.
Arunion's "fail" at 1836 was made to work with a major re-adjustment of the catcher. It was not as easy or simple as it looked, but the concept was there. Still second place though.
Far, far more tantalising, was that a simple switch to an economical catcher I found in a POC, would have given Arunion a winning entry with 1860.
After all that hard work sorting out cheap guidance mechanisms, it was kinda heart-breaking to still see two expensive plates in the catcher. Especially as he already had one of the three ropes of the cheap catcher present!
A frustrating near miss, for an otherwise excellent solution. (His $16 lockpick beat my $30 POC crowbar for breaking down the door, too.)
