Been up on the roof for 2 days, replacing the underfelt under the tiles.

But I have my "solution" planned. Time to get cracking.

That does not sound like fun work... Hope you don't have to deal with things like that for a while. :)

Actually, it was just the warm up. Did about 40% of the replacement in "phase 1".
Phase 2 is the remaining 60%, as well as replacing the ancient conservatory roof below, which is the source of all the trouble (leaks). That'll be during the next "dry speel" we get.
It's easier to replace the underfelt while that roof is off, and since I know there are holes in the felt, and rotten, broken battens, it just makes sense to do the lot together.
Luckily I'm working mostly at 1st floor level (upstairs is built into the roof). I hate heights.....

Meanwhile, my "planned" solution not only proved really tricky to finish, but was pipped by the "quick and nasty" first solution I made. :(

Sorry to be starting so late, on the last day, but 1777+ :)

oh wow... That's a lot of work. Glad most of it is on the first floor...

I actually forgot to send in my solution on time... There's been so many things to do at the farm and trips to a museum on thursday and an open day at the farm yesterday so I didn't get home until way late in the day... Apologies

Sounds like you're even busier than me.....

Results aren't up yet, so I have no problem with a late entry. I'd prefer that to a default win, anyway.
And that's another reason why I tend to send solutions in as I finish them. Never know when my "plans" will be scuppered.
