Well it was interesting to be the host of a level. Getting solutions delivered is not something I'm used to

The winner is mark_man with 1771
bythelee on second with his 1736

Quite interesting diversity overall.
mark_man managed three interesting solutions with close scores.
bythelee's hyperlaunchfailure shows some interesting potential that I didn't think was possible.
I've also included his "failures" since one is fast paced and the other presents interesting alternatives. Unfortunately his 1762 was after the deadline but still not enough to catch mark_man

The solutions put my POC's to shame :D Well done guys!

Kicking myself at the simplicity of the 1710 plate ramps everywhere.

I was sure I had tried a ramp to the portal, but failed.
And in tweaking the solution somewhat, it is clearly very sensitive to the timing of the dillo.
One tiny change can go from easily climbing the hill, to failing badly.

The solutions I never got to work, included:
- having the dillo land on top of the rocket sled from above, to be carried along into a "scoop" portal catcher.
- using the carrier on the back of the sled, to tow the dillo along. But I never managed to find a way to lift him up.

Meanwhile..... extending the tweak further....
Firstly I noticed the dillo "bounced" on the ramp, and didn't even need the cloth segment. Switching to rope changed the impact, but I found a way to adjust the ramp tension to get it back. A little more economy at the portal itself, and an alternative delay to the rocket sled, and we have 1806 delayingtactics.

An even more economical catcher, but one that required even more delay, secured 1810.

But I wondered whether it was possible to do without the delay mechanism. It seemed like the dillo only needed another half a second or so.
Maybe, with a perfect lob and clean path, he would get there earlier enough?

I had a lot of practice with those flippers. Including the cloth variant that is more limiting, and unstable, if cheaper.
So, I tweaked that for the perfect lob.

And then found that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the dillo to "bounce" off the first plate of the ramp.
Which meant switching back to a cloth segment, and having to use the high speed catcher, killing the saving of the $10 sled delay.

He does portal away just before the rocket sled sends him flying. Just. But only 1806 again. :(
