The winner is bythelee with 1844 :lms:

then Arunion with 1780 and then very close behind its KuzyaHG with 1766

That was a nice challenge.

Pity there wasn't more enthusiasm, but some good solutions nevertheless.

I wish I had had more time to play and tweak.
I had some "almost" versions nudging 1866, but usually ended up with one dillo stranded.
