Oh boy, that bid was telling beyond all expectation.

THREE of you guys all had 1678?

Actually, my previous best was 1677, so maybe we're all the same and you all found a way to shorten a rope a bit.

Non-spoiler: It's clear from the bid that I do not have three bits of rubber in my solution. (excluding the one that was part of the original level, of course....)

I'm pretty certain we'll not have the same solution. The combinations of circumstances that led to mine (and it's numerous variants) says that once you've managed with less than three bits of rubber, anything can and does happen.
