Welcome to the 251th AR2 A contest: AroundTheBox

We're going to do things a little different this time. In the middle of the level you will see a box. Your SCORE is the amount of cash you have left when you clear the portal multiplied by the number of times the dillo goes completely around the box.

1500$ left without fully circling the box gives you a SCORE of 1500 X 0 = 0
1000$ left circling the box once gives you a SCORE of 1000 X 1 = 1000
700$ left going around the box twice gives you a SCORE of 700 X 2 = 1400
1$ left going around the box 50 times gives you a SCORE of 1 X 50 = 50

The winner is the person with the highest SCORE.
Bidding only by SCORE please, not by cash or number of times around the box.
Naming convention is changed.
Rockets are (obviously) disabled.

AR2 Version 2.1.3 Beta is used, make sure you use the correct version.

If you download this level please submit your solution even if you think it's not good. You help us keep the forum alive and we might be able to help you become a better player.

Submissions by PM.

Hmmmm, so that already means twice around the box (at least).

I have two ideas on the boil, but neither are quite working yet...... :?

OK, idea one might get two loops, but rapidly becomes too expensive.

So, I focussed on idea 2, and got there after a lot of fiddling.

3000+ :D

The worst bit about this challenge, is that you don't even know whether I managed 1500 x 2, or 1000 x 3.

I really like the idea behind this puzzle. But, like UpHill, I think it takes a lot of building to get anything working (well, beyond 1x at least), so unless you've got a great concept, I fear my bid has already put off many players. :(

Perhaps there should be separate awards for each loop count?
Best 1x, best 2x, best 3x etc.

Your bidding is still very modest
But I think you are right, we will not see as much entries as previous level

Yup I'm well and truly put off .see you at the end .I have no idea how to do more than 2 runs cheaply we are at 4 runs for less than total of 900 spent now ,that I have no idea how to do this one has me stumped

Still over two days to work out something new.....

I built something that was darned expensive for one loop, but more loops could be added fairly cheaply.

5000+ (but methinks I'll have to develop it even more to stay ahead of KuzyaHG...)

I will learn something from this weeks entry's, I think .Years ago you would be able to achieve a unlimited number of spins easily but I don't know any perpetual motion methods now with the new updates :( .Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree

Yes. Indeed. Methinks I was right about having to develop it a bit more!
So far I have only 5240 as a best score.

I never did build perpetual motion machines in AR1, and while it's possible to build horizonal walkers in AR2, they only work on flat (or very nearly flat) surfaces.
I don't think any have the power to lift a dillo the height of one plate.
Rocket power would make for a perpetual machine - which is why Rob banned them!
